Questions and answers

For consumers

What is alcohol-free wine?

We start from wine made the usual way, from grapes. We then remove the alcohol at low temperature, under vacuum, and formulate to bring back body and aroma. Our drinks have less than 0.5% alcohol by volume.

Is it still wine?

Under current OIV rules, all our drinks are wine-based drinks. In the United States, local FDA rules use the term dealcoholized wine.

Does it have fewer calories?

Yes. Most of the calories in wine come from alcohol, so removing it takes most of them away. Each label shows the full nutrition values.

Can I drink it if I need to avoid alcohol completely?

Our drinks contain less than 0.5% alcohol, not zero. If you must avoid alcohol completely, for example during pregnancy or for medical reasons, ask your doctor first.

How should I serve it?

Chilled, in a wine glass. Once opened, keep it in the fridge and follow the guidance on the label.

Where can I buy it?

Our online shop is opening soon. Retailers, importers and distributors can contact us now.

For producers

What is the minimum batch?

170 litres. Most dealcoholization services ask for far more, so you can test the market without a large first order.

How does a project start?

Send us a sample of your base wine. Two bottles are enough for a first lab trial. You taste the result before any pilot batch.

Can my wine keep its DOP or IGP?

No. Fully dealcoholized wine cannot keep a protected designation of origin or geographical indication. We help you name and label it correctly for each market.

What happens to the alcohol?

It is recovered as a 40–50% distillate and sold on, not evaporated.

Which formats can you deliver?

Still or sparkling, in bottle or can, filled by HACCP-certified partners. You can also take the dealcoholized wine back in bulk.

Can I buy my own equipment?

Yes. We are Reda representatives. You can run your wine on our DVR line first, then size a machine for your volumes.

Is my wine and recipe kept confidential?

Yes. Every project runs under NDA, and your wine, brand and recipe remain yours.
